Tiluothy Grass

Tiluothy-Grass, or CAT's-TA1L (Phleum pratense), one of the most valuable agricultural grasses, on account of its productiveness and early development, though a British species, was introduced as a novelty from the United States, from which country we import over 1-3/4 million pounds of its seed annually. It derives its popular name from its spicate inflorescence, and serves as a badge of the Sutherland family.
