NaumbergNaumberg, a Prussian town in the province of Saxony, and 18 miles S.W. of Merseburg. It is prettily situate among the hills in the valley of the Saale, and is surrounded by gardens and vineyards. There is a good Protestant cathedral, rich in specimens of old German art, a Roman Catholic cathedral, a castle (now used as public offices), and a town-hall. The chief manufactures are of carriages, combs, cards, cloth, hosiery, leather, and a trade is carried on in wine and wood.
