Leuciscus

Leuciscus, a genus of fishes of the Carp family (Cgprinidir), from the north temperate zone of both hemispheres. Here belong the Chub, the Dace, the Ide, which when domesticated assumes a colouring like that of the Gold-fish, and is then known as the Orf, the Minnow, the Roach, the Rudd, etc.
