IberisIberis, a genus of cruciferous plants; comprising about twenty species, natives of Europe, Eastern Asia, and Northern Africa, of which one, Iberis amara, is British. They are smooth plants, with crowded flat-topped inflorescences of flowers which, though sometimes pink or red. are usually white, whence they are known as "candy-tuft." The outer flowers are remarkable for having their two outer petals larger than the others.
