Genesee

Genesee, a river which rises in Pennsylvania in the same spot as the Susquehanna and Alleghany, and flowing through New York State, where it gives its name to a county and township, discharges itself after a course of 153 miles into Lake Ontario. At Rochester it falls 226 feet in a few miles, but is navigable for smail craft above and below that point. A county in Michigan also bears this name.
