Faber The Rev George Stanley

Faber, The Rev. George Stanley, born near Bradford, Yorkshire, in 1773, graduated at University College, Oxford, and, taking holy orders, became Prebendary of Salisbury and master of Sherborn hospital, Durham, in 1831. He was the author of several learned and pious works, now out of date, such as Horae Mosaicae, The Mysteries of the Cabyri, The Difficulties of Infidelity, and The Difficulties of Romanism. He died in 1854.
