Davis Strait

Davis Strait, between Baffin's Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, separates Greenland from Cumberland Island and British North America. It is in lat. 60° 70' N., and is 220 miles broad at the Arctic Circle - its narrowest part. The east coast is rocky and studded with islands; the west coast has some deep indentations, the chief being Hudson's Strait. the entry to Baffin's Bay, and Northumberland Inlet.
