Bothriocidaroidea

Bothriocidaroidea, an order of the Echinoidea which is characterised by the possession of 15 zones of plates instead of the normal 20 (cf. Echinus). It includes only one genus Bothriocidaris, from the Silurian rocks of Russia. This is the oldest known Sea Urchin.
