Anthomedusae

Anthomedusae, one of the two groups of Craspedote Medusae (q.v.), including the small bell-shaped jelly-fish, provided with eye spots; they are stages in the life history of Gymnoblastic Hydrozoa (q.v.), i.e. they bear the eggs which grow into the plant-like colonies which produce a second generation of the free jelly-fish.
